I’m a French Canadian photographer deeply immersed in the art of capturing moments. With 25 years behind the lens, my love for photography goes beyond mere appreciation — it's a lifelong devotion. It all began in a college darkroom where love blossomed with a Danish classmate, sparking a journey that led us to Copenhagen. There, amidst Scandinavia’s top studios, I absorbed the nuances of lighting and image crafting, cultivating a distinct Scandinavian aesthetic that continues to inspire my work.
Specializing in beauty care and cosmetic photography, I had the privilege of contributing to ad campaigns and illustrious magazines for industry giants such as Lancôme, L’Oreal, and Givenchy. In 2003, I returned to my Canadian roots, taking the helm of the technical department for a leading camera company across North America. This transition opened my eyes to a new realm of photography — wildlife, where I found solace and inspiration beyond the confines of the studio.
Exploring North America broadened my photographic horizons and pushed me out of my comfort zone. Time spent in the Canadian Rockies transformed my career, offering encounters with incredible wildlife like great grey owls, grizzly bears, and lynx. Patience and a touch of luck reveal nature's wonders in some of the world's most stunning landscapes.
My travels across North America unveiled the diverse beauty of this continent's terrain. From the towering peaks of Western Canada to the rugged shores of Newfoundland and the tranquil vistas of the American Southwest, each environment sparks my creativity. Whether capturing a serene scene or crafting a sweeping panorama, I wait patiently for the perfect light to bring my images to life.
Portraiture, my enduring passion, allows me to connect with individuals from all walks of life. Each face tells a unique story, and I relish the challenge of capturing it in black and white. Whether using digital or medium format film cameras, I employ various techniques to create authentic portraits that resonate with viewers.
